Job Description:

Objective 1


Implementation of Pakistan Approach for Total Sanitation (PATS) in integrated Villages


Tasks & responsibilities


·         Develop detailed implementation plan for PATS implementation in targeted village.


·         Carry-out assessment for selection of villages for PATS implementation.


·         Update the activities tracker and disseminate information timely to line manager.


·         Coordinate with staff from other ACF Pakistan departments (technical sectors, finance, and field staff) to compile relevant information and documents to support activities implementation.


·         Formulate PATS committees in villages for effective implementation.


·         Development of formats for, prepare, review, compile, provide feedback on, and finalize activities completion draft reports.


·         Organize training session with community on hygiene and sanitation.


·         Provide timely and quality feedback on PQA reports.


Objective 2


Conduct Hygiene and sanitation sessions in targeted villages


Tasks & responsibilities


·         Generate tailored messages for hygiene and sanitation promotion.


·         Conduct session in villages with support and coordination of integrated community mobilizers.


·         Support integrated team to incorporate sanitation sessions in regular activities.


·         Maintain record of all sessions conducted.


Objective 3


Coordination with stakeholders


Tasks & responsibilities


·         Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for implementation of WASH activities


·         Create links between PATS committees and relevant government department.


Objective 4


Reporting and archiving of WASH related activities


Tasks & responsibilities


·         WASH trainer is responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and activities completion reports to line manager


·         Archive all data related to WASH activities.


INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIP


Internal


·         Under the guidance of – Project Manager


·         In coordination with Project Manager, Deputy Technical Coordinator, Finance Officer, Logs Officer, HR Officer, PQA Officer, WASH Engineer and Integrated team.


·         With supervision of – N/A


External


·       With TMA, DDMA and local authorities


REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES


·         WASH trainer is responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and activities completion reports to line manager


POSITION REQUIREMENTS


QUALIFICATIONS


·         Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, 2-3 years of overall experience in WASH/WATSON realted implementation and 1 years in PATS or CLTS implementation


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


ESSENTIAL


·            A minimum 3 years’ overall experience with 1-year relevant experience;


·            Interest in the humanitarian and development sector;


·            Very strong written and spoken Sindhi and English abilities;


·            Strong computer skills particularly word and excel;


·            Good analytical skills;


·            Commitment to working additional hours as required.


PREFERRED


·         Experience in the NGO/INGO sector;


·         A minimum Bachelor’s degree;


·         Previous experience preparing in CLTS or PATS implementation
