Job Objective:

Data Center Officer is responsible to provide data center operational support activities across the Bank.

 Key Responsibilities

1.    Operations & Support

• Install, maintain and monitor branch terminal servers and active directory user account management. 
• Provide data center operational support to business users.
• Troubleshoot and identify root cause of issues and resolve user’s complaints within approved internal SLA.
• Maintain environment control for the Data centers/IT rooms.
• Install and monitor antivirus definition updates across network.

2.    Compliance & Reporting

• Monitor and assess the efficiency, usage of Servers and develop action plan for improvement.
• Implement and ensure full compliance of policy and procedures of Data Center.
• Report to Data Center Administrator, the status of all events as per the escalation procedures.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & other Attributes

Education

• Bachelors in IT/Engineering/Computer Science from a reputed HEC-recognized university/institution.

Skills

•  
• Must have a good knowledge of data center standards.
• Experience in maintaining data backups and relating technologies (hardware and software both).
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows server technologies, Active Directory Administration, Exchange Server, Microsoft Client & Server base environment.
• Having worked with Symantec Backup Exec, VERITAS foundation and Linux environment will be an added advantage.
• Suitable certification (e.g. MCSE / CCNA) will be preferred.
• Must have good knowledge on VMware technologies and hands on experience will be an added advantage.
• Exhibits and upholds KMBL’s values and social performance objectives.

Duration and Nature of Previous Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hands on experience in Windows environment and supporting Data Center /Server room operations.
