Pakistan Innovation Foundation is looking to find a professional with a strong interest and understanding of innovation, entrepreneurship, and community mobilisation. The successful candidate will assist in managing our growing portfolio of projects at the national level and display integrity, professionalism, creativity and energy in conducting work and interacting with colleagues and clients in government, industry, academia and other not-for-profit organizations.

Reporting to the Program Director, this is  permanent full-time position is located in Islamabad and available immediately.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Ability to and experience in managing innovation and entrepreneurial projects, ideally those involving local and international players as well as academia

• Proven track record of organising, mobilising and managing projects and activities involving multiple stakeholders and large number of participants

• Ability to work with a team across multiple locations (working on-site or remotely) and managing key stakeholder relationships within the local community

• Ability and proven track record of managing training programmes including identification and recruitment of trainers, mentors, stakeholders, etc.

• Proven track of delivering against key performance indicators, tight deadlines, and showing budgetary responsibility

• Communication skills necessary for lending support to proposals and grant writing

• Ability to maintain documents and records for reporting and knowledge management and build databases and the knowledgebase for the company

Ability to identify and create fundraising leads as well as write proposals to bring in additional resources to support long-term sustainability will be an added advantage but is not a must

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Fresh Masters or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or Social Science with 1-2 years of professional experience.
• Strong communication skills—including writing, preparing charts and other visuals, making presentations.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Effective interpersonal skills and willingness to share and discuss ideas with colleagues.
• An understanding of issues and current developments in science, technology and innovation as well as entrepreneurship landscape in Pakistan and in general would be an asset.
• Project management skills (establishing goals, priorities, deadlines and managing towards outcomes).
• Ability to effectively use social media channels to communicate with a broad audience.
• Experience in and/or willingness to facilitate internal and external meetings.
• Willingness and Ability to travel is required.
