We’re looking for Screw Compressor Engineer who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of screw compressors and associated systems. The role ensures efficient and reliable operation of rotary screw compressors, supporting production or facility requirements with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of screw compressors, focusing on components such as rotors, bearings, seals and lubrication systems.
• Utilize advanced engineering tools and simulations (e.g., finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics) to optimize compressor performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compressor designs into larger systems, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
• Conduct detailed performance analyses to assess compressor efficiency, capacity and operational characteristics.
• Implement modifications and improvements to enhance performance, reduce energy consumption and extend service life.
• Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends and potential issues, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to screw compressors in the field.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including predictive and preventive maintenance programs, to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Lead failure analysis investigations and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Manage projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports and manuals to support project execution and compliance.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements and best practices to maintain expertise in screw compressor engineering.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Advanced degrees or certifications in compressor technology or related disciplines are advantageous.

• Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in the design, operation and maintenance of screw compressors, preferably in industries such as HVAC, oil & gas or chemical processing.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in compressor design and analysis software.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science as applied to compressor systems.
  • Experience with vibration analysis, rotor dynamics, and lubrication systems.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and training.
  • Project management experience, including budgeting and scheduling
