Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) specific to a retail/showroom environment.
  • Assist in budget preparation, track performance against budget, and provide variance analysis.
  • Monitor showroom-specific financial KPIs, such as sales margins on different tile categories, inventory turnover, and cost of goods sold.
• Accounting Operations:
  • Manage Accounts Payable (vendor invoices for tile procurement, showroom expenses) and Accounts Receivable (customer payments, outstanding dues).
  • Oversee daily cash management, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for showroom staff.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register for showroom assets (fixtures, display units, vehicles).
• Inventory Accounting:
  • Manage inventory valuation and accounting for tile stock, including purchases, sales, returns, and write-offs.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager for accurate stock reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
  • Ensure proper costing of goods sold.
• Taxation & Compliance:
  • Prepare and file all federal and provincial tax returns (e.g., Sales Tax, Income Tax, Withholding Tax) in compliance with FBR regulations and other relevant Pakistani tax laws.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, financial, and labor laws relevant to the retail sector.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
  • Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls specific to a retail environment to safeguard showroom assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems for enhanced efficiency.
